I Am Leaving The Wisconsin Synod
After much thought and consideration I have decided to leave the WELS due to the direction Church and Change is going. This group has repeatedly sought direction and instruction from false teachers such as Bill Hybels (http://www.willowcreek.com), Craig Groeschel (www.lifechurch.tv), Andy Stanley (http://www.northpoint.org) , and Leonard Sweet (http://www.leonardsweet.com) to name a few. I have little confidence that WELS will enact any kind of church discipline to bring Church and Change into line with genuine Lutheran doctrine and practice, but I pray God's Word will do its work and lead those teaching, inculcating, and promoting false doctrine to repentance.

Where you gonna attend church? In Rochester there is http://real-lutheran.org/index.htm. Never been there but it looks like it'd be worth a visit.
ReplyDeleteHi bored, yes, I was considering giving them a try. The pastor used be in WELS, but left over doctrinal issues.
ReplyDeleteRev. Kevin Buchs brings to the ministry a depth of knowledge and experience that is extremely rare. He holds a B.A. degree in Physics and a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Lutheran Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri in 1997. Rev. Buchs served as a parish pastor for 3 years in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). He left the LCMS because of doctrinal heterodoxy in the synod and inconsistencies in practice by congregations and leaders of the LCMS. In this regard, he is one of many confessional pastors who sadly, for similar reasons, have had to leave voluntarily or have been forced out of the LCMS. Rev. Buchs was called by his small flock on April 15, 2007 to be pastor of Real Lutheran Fellowship. Kevin Buchs enjoys full time secular employment in Rochester, Minnesota as an Electrical Engineer at Mayo Clinic. His service as a pastor of Real-Lutheran Fellowship is wholly voluntary and in a part-time capacity. This pastoral situation is commonly observed among small confessional church bodies throughout the United States. Rev. Buchs may be contacted as described here, that is: phone 507-289-6438 or email pastor@real-lutheran.org.
